Program Summary
The Early Career Faculty Academy is a learning community designed specifically for a cohort of first-year, tenure-track assistant professors who, with the encouragement of their DEOs, make a commitment to participate. The cohort explores various aspects of teaching and provides one another with support, accountability, and feedback in preparation for the third-year review.
Academy Goals
The Center for Teaching Early Career Faculty Academy, coordinated with the Office of the Provost, will help early-career, tenure-track faculty members to:
- balance teaching with research and other obligations,
- employ effective and rewarding teaching pedagogies,
- network with other faculty members, and
- develop their teaching portfolios and prepare for the third-year review.
