What is ifolio?
The electronic portfolio system for the University of Iowa (ifolio) is considered a learning portfolio environment. Learning takes place over time and the documentation, reflection, and feedback used in ifolio helps students to re-evaluate key moments and how they relate to current education goals and allows students to become more reflective practitioners.
Students demonstrate their achievement of the goals of their academic department or program by using ifolio to select pieces of work created for class, called artifacts, and write about the development or meaning of those artifacts in reflections. The ifolio enables students to organize and present visual materials more efficiently and effectively to peers, advisors, faculty, and prospective employers and graduate institutions.
